Airman Camp-Full Day
Join us for our original Airman Camp designed specifically for young minds fascinated by the boundless possibilities of aviation. This camp offers six exhilarating hours of flight simulators, aviation-themed games, and interactive experiences, topped off with a real flight opportunity! It's the perfect playground for aspiring aviators aged 9-15 to begin their journey into the world of aviation, offering both fun and foundational knowledge. Students design, build and fly model airplanes. Aircraft walk around, flight simulator time, guest speakers, and an opportunity to fly a small R/C and drones.

Private Pilot Advanced Simulator Camp (NEW)

The Private Pilot Advanced Simulator Camp is an intensive, two-day program designed for advanced students ages 10–17 who are deeply interested in the art and science of flying and preparing to begin formal flight training. This is a great way to prepare for flight training. 

This camp is built around professional-grade simulator training and mirrors the structure and discipline of a real private pilot training environment. Unlike traditional aviation camps, this program is intended for serious learners who are ready to engage in focused, detail-oriented instruction using established aviation training methodologies.

Over the course of the weekend (two days, 4 hours per day), participants work directly with Certified Flight Instructors and qualified counselors to develop foundational pilot skills, including aircraft control, instrument interpretation, navigation concepts, cockpit procedures, checklist usage, and aeronautical decision-making. Training is conducted primarily in advanced flight simulators, allowing students to practice realistic flight scenarios in a safe, structured setting.

The camp emphasizes maturity, focus, and professionalism. Students are expected to follow formal procedures, participate in structured briefings and debriefings, and demonstrate attention to detail throughout each simulator session.

This advanced simulator camp is ideal for motivated students who are serious about aviation and ready to take the first disciplined steps toward earning a Private Pilot Certificate. ($325)

Flight Experience
For camp participants only. If you'd like to extend the excitement, inquire about our Flight Experience opportunity. Participants in our four-day camp are offered the opportunity to complete a flight under the guidance of a flight instructor. This is a group flight for the camp participants. We randomly select seats. This approximately 45-minute flight will take you over the Queen Mary, USS Iowa, and the Port of Long Beach. Bring your camera. Scheduled on the Friday after the camp. Must have participated in a four-day camp. Ages 9-15

If you'd prefer to bring Mom and Dad along please consider a Demo Flight. You will get to fly the plane, and you can log the time in a logbook. Please inquire with our flight school about the costs of a demo.
